Extract the file into it's
own folder.
You will need to port forward
TCP 7157 to support Rom Downloading.
You will need to port forward
UDP/TCP 7845 for ZSNES and VirtuaNES Netplay.
You will need to port forward
UDP 5394 for KegaFusion Netplay.
Run the "registerFiles.bat".
A console window should popup for a second or two and then close.
After it closes, start CGA
by opening "cga.exe". If you are getting an error when you try to open CGA,
you will need to follow Step 3 again but under administrative privileges.
At this point, you have
successfully installed and loaded Classic Gaming Arena.
Setup Emulators and Rom Directories
Click on "settings". If
you are a first time user, CGA should automatically bring you to the
settings window.
On the left menu, click on
"Set Paths".
Under "Set Emulator Paths",
click the button "Set Path to Emulator".
Browse your computer and
select the appropriate "zsnesw.exe" file. CGA currently supports ZSNES versions 1.337, 1.36, and 1.42.
Do the same for VirtuaNES v0.97. Select "virtuanes.exe". Do the same
for KegaFusion v3.51. Select "fusion.exe".
After you setup your
emulators, it's time to choose a rom path. Under "Set Rom Paths",
click the button that says "ZSNES Roms", "VirtuaNES Roms, "KegaFusion
Roms".
Browse to your roms folder.
Currently, CGA only supports top level directories. You will need to
have the roms you want to play in 1 folder.
After you click "Okay", a new
window should popup saying "Calculating ROM Checksums".
When this window disappears,
you may now exit the "Settings" window.
